A new technical adviser and chief coach has been unveiled for Rangers International Football Club of Enugu. He is Mr. Gbenga Ogunbote, former technical adviser of Enyimba Football Club of Aba.
The new technical adviser was unveiled during the State Executive Council meeting held at the Government House, Enugu.
Speaking with journalists after his unveiling, Mr. Ogunbote said that his appointment was a huge privilege given the club’s remarkable history. Noting that every organization has its challenges, he said: “We will look at what was responsible for the poor performance last season and address the problem. Rangers is a big team with good players.”

He also solicited the cooperation of Rangers supporters and expressed optimism that with the requisite support, the club will meet its target. “We have a target which is continental. Let’s develop a brand for ourselves at home,” he said, adding that the appointment of Davidson Owumi as general manager the dream of building a strong professional team has become more realistic.
The chief coach, an indigene of Ondo State, commended Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and the people of Enugu State for giving him the opportunity to serve the state in that capacity, stressing that with God on his side he will not disappoint them.
