Ugwuanyi inaugurates Board of Nike Lake Resort Hotel

Enugu State  governor,  Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, has  inaugurated  seven-man Board of directors of Nike Lake Resort Hotel, Enugu.
Inaugurating the Board on Tuesday at the Government House,  Enugu, Ugwuanyi  charged them to work with the management of the hotel to restore its past glory.
He described the hotel as” a flagship asset of the Enugu State Government, with beautiful and serene ambience complemented by a natural perennial lake, is like no other and its capability for offering the comfort of home, away from home, is without doubt”.

Ugwuanyi said  that his administration in its concerted effort to improve the infrastructure of the hotel has invested a lot of resources in the restoration of power management system and is currently implementing turnaround maintenance of the hotel water facility and plumbing works to return the hotel to full functionality.

He disclosed  that his administration plans to commence a comprehensive but gradual rehabilitation of other infrastructure of the hotel to return the great heritage to profitability.
He expressed optimism that  that the incoming Board of Directors, populated with persons of proven competence, will work with the hotel management to restore its past glory”.

He, therefore, urged members of the Board to rise to the occasion and fulfill the expectations of the state government and people of the state regarding the hotel.

Responding on behalf of other members, the Chairman of the board,  Dame Madueke, thanked Ugwuanyi for finding them worthy to pilot the affairs of the hotel and promised that the team, which she tagged “Save Nike Lake Team” will not disappoint him.

“I promise that in no distant time, by the grace of God, your dream for Nike Lake Resort Hotel will start materializing”, she said.
It could be recalled that few days ago, Ugwuanyi  reconstituted  the board of directors  headed by  Dame Barr. Ugochi Madueke,  Members are  Barr. Francis Nnamani, Hon. Jude Chijioke Ugwu and Mr. Chris Ezema.

Others are Engr. Michael Okechukwu Igbonekwu, Mrs. Uche Onwuzu and Igwe Engr. Chukwudi Ejeh.
